New Electric Cars From Every Electric Car Manufacturer
In the past, EVs have been too expensive for many consumers to buy or lease. But as battery costs continue to fall, more automakers are introducing all-electric vehicles.
Hyundai and Kia are making waves with their electric SUVs, including the top-rated Ioniq Electric. Meanwhile, Subaru tinkers with an all-electric version of its WRX model.
Chevrolet Bolt EV
Chevy’s first electric car has a long driving range and impressive acceleration. It also has a comfortable cabin and useful tech features.
With a manufacturer’s suggested retail price starting at $26,500, the Bolt EV is an affordable choice. It’s also eligible for a $7,500 federal tax credit.
The 1LT trim comes standard with a 10.2-inch diagonal color infotainment touch-screen that includes informative energy screens. Opting for the 2LT trim unlocks more comfort and technology features. Toyota bZ4X
The bZ4X is the first vehicle to use Toyota’s new EV platform, eTNGA, which places the battery pack entirely underneath the car. The EPA rates it to achieve up to 252 miles of range in FWD XLE guise, with dual-motor versions getting 228 miles.
A smooth and refined ride quality makes this a relaxing motorway cruiser, and wind and tyre noise are all but suppressed. However, the high centre console could hem you in a bit and the lack of true one-pedal regenerative braking is disappointing.
Lexus RZ 450e
For luxury car shoppers who want to go electric, Lexus offers the 2023 RZ 450e. It slots between the compact NX and midsize RX, and its EPA-estimated range is 220 miles.
Its 308-horsepower output delivers a satisfying performance, and its 0-60 time is 4.8 seconds.
Lexus’s novel steering system, called Steer-by-Wire, uses digital signals rather than mechanical connections. It’s available with a traditional yoke or an unusual tazuna-style wheel. The RZ 450e is compatible with 240V home charging for a cost of about $1,000, including installation.
Mercedes-Benz EQS
The EQS is Mercedes’ zero-emission take on its flagship S-Class sedan. It’s packed with tech, including a massive 55-inch “Hyperscreen” display, 4.5-degree rear steering, and a host of other bells and whistles.

Some drivers have reported that the infotainment system is confusing and buggy, which can be frustrating when you’re spending this much money on an EV.
Despite its mediocre range, the Taycan is still an impressive electric vehicle. It is sleek and fast, and it feels like a Porsche should. It also has a quiet and comfortable ride. The 2023 model has fantastic upgrades that make it even better than before.
Bentley
Bentley is going all-in on electric vehicles. The luxury car manufacturer plans to release one new all-electric model per year starting in 2025.
The first model will be a fully-electric SUV that can accelerate from 0 to 60 in 1.5 seconds. It will cost $250,000, CEO Adrian Hallmark said.
The move is part of Bentley’s Beyond100 plan, which aims to make the company carbon neutral from its plants to its cars by 2030. It will electric car manufacturer also help to keep jobs in the Crewe factory.
Lamborghini
